It has been almost 2 weeks since the last time I washed my Toyota Vios. The car was dirty and I decided to pay a visit to my colleague’s car grooming centre, SUPWAVE Car Grooming Centre located at Bayan Lepas, Penang for a car wash. The shop was launched 2 years back and within the 1st year they had already expanded to 2nd branch shop.
In the shop, I was surprised by the number of cars queuing for car wash and polishing. The business seems doing very well and I have to wait for period of time before is my turn to get the car washed. The car wash price is RM7.70 for member and RM10 for non-member.
SUPWAVE Car Grooming Centre emphasizes on traditional hand wash. This traditional washing technique ensure the cars are washed properly and free from scratches, that usually happens in machine wash. The cars washed using different type of cloves and shampoos that are specifically designed for car body and wheels cleaning. I was surprised by the services they had provided. Apart from usual car cleaning services like car wash, tyres waxing, dashboard polishing and vacuum cleaning, the staffs also apply the water repellent solution to our windscreen which help to repel rain water on the screen, thus giving the driver clearer view during raining days. Another extra service that I discovered is, they applied a type of chemical to the fender that helps it to retain is new ‘black’ look. My RM10 seems to spent wisely in this grooming shop.
The boss came out with their own recipe of the car shampoo, dashboard cleaner, tyre wax and windscreen coating. Their car shampoo does have a special coating refine the car paint into more shining, and the coating protects the paint surface after each washing.
SUPWAVE Car Grooming Centre provides a comfortable place and ton of updated magazines for customers to enjoy while waiting their car to be washed and polished. Not to forget they have WIFI service in their shop lot too!
The shop owner is in the house as well. He will hands-on everything all by himself from scrubbing the car wheels to car polishing, and he will assure all the cars are washed and polished properly in his shop. Well, this looks like a paid post to me.
I’ve being using their service for the past 9 months, and they are getting lousy and I’ve never really see the boss around, only tons of Bangla workers that couldn’t communicate well in Malay/English.
It was good back then at the first time but now the workers are getting reckless and I keep getting new mini scratches after the car wash and they didn’t do a proper drying job.
They also charge me RM10 despite I’m a member and just forget to bring the paper card.
