How to DIY External Dashboard and Interior Protection using ArmorAll Protectant Gel

Our vehicles’s dashboard and interior will suffered from cracks, discolored and dis-form due to excessive UV ray and heat from the sun when parked at non shaded area after several years later. It is crucial to have protection on those plastics and rubber to ensure its lasting and looks good.

I am using the ArmorAll Protectant gel that cost me only RM24.90 as an external protection to my Toyota Vios dashboard, interior plastics, rubbers, and even the exterior of the car.

The application of the Armal Protectant gel is relatively easy. Pour the gel into the clean and dry cloves, then wipe on the dashboard or any plastics surface that is required protection.

Below is the photo of the exterior plastics cover on my Toyota Vios dashboard:

As you can see the dry part of the plastic (at the edge)  is without the ArmorAll Protectant gel application and the wet parts of the plastic is applied with the ArmorAll Protectant gel.

Not only that, ArmorAll Protectant gel can also applied on the car door seal rubber. I’ve seen a lot older vehicles (more than 5 years) have cracked or broken car door seal rubber, and personally believe that this seal rubbers required protection. So, I started to applied the Armorall Protectant gel on the car door seal rubber in my car:

Application of the ArmorAll Proctectant on the vinyls outshine the stickers too:

My Toyota Vios dashboard, interior and exterior plastics look like NEW again after I’ve applied the ArmorAll Protectant gel on it. Below the photos of the result:

The ArmorAll Protectant gel don’t have the strong smell (but it has very light glue smell), similar to other brand of dashboard protection gel. ArmorAll Protectant can be use to clean the dashboard and interior plastics too.

I would recommend vehicle’ owner to re-apply the ArmorAll Protectant every 2 month to keep the vehicle dashboard and plastics under optimal protection since most of us are parking our cars under hot sun during the day.
