Bird Droppings on Car Paint
Our vehicle exposes to various contaminations every single day. Example of contaminations are acid rains, bird droppings, bug splatter, tar spot, dirt, oil, over-spray paint, dirt water, sand, industrial fallout, brake dust, railways dust, exhaust soot and the list goes on. Most of the experts and vehicle manufacturer recommended we wash our vehicle once week or once every 2 weeks in order to protect our vehicle’s body paint.
But there are some contaminations you have to REMOVE IT IMMEDIATELY, which is Bird Droppings.
Bird droppings contain high acidic that will etch your vehicle body paint immediately, within 1-2 days. I used to thought our car’s body paint may not as weak as that, but the birds’ drop are really beyond what I expected. My car’s paint etched within 3 days after the the birds’ drop! Now there is no way to cure this other than touch up paint. Removing the birds’ drop can be easily with just splashing water and rubbing with cloves on it.
Other type of contaminations will damage your vehicle too but not as severe and fast as bird dropping. Most contaminations can be easily wash off with car shampoo. Certain contaminations that bonded on the paint surface such as overspray paint can use Clay Bar to remove it. While tar can be easily remove with Tar Remover. Polishing can be the last option due to polishing will remove a layer of your car’s paint.
