An accountant named Max Polyakov saw an old Chevrolet in a garbage garage and decided to reshape the car in remembrance of his kitten, Murka
Accountant Max Polyakov’s dream car “Murka”
People like Max Polyakov will make you realize that individual differences could be very loud, as he ends his office days in a very different manner. This Istanbul based accountant came across an abandoned 1967 Chevrolet Impala while coming back from work. He was astonished that it has a striking semblance with his childhood kitten that was killed by a car when he was 10. This reminiscence made Max Polyakov decide to pick and repair the Impala. This led him to hire a truck, lift the carcass of the car from the garbage and take it to where it would be repaired.
Max Polyakov bought everything needed to repair the 1976 Chevrolet Impala because of its semblance with Murka. But he later found out that a lot of work must be put in to get the car back to shape. He bought the wheels and a new engine.
Accountant Max Polyakov Starts Work On His Dream Chevrolet Impala ’67
Max Polyakov has finished evaluating what he will need to put the Chevrolet Impala in order, as inspired by Murka. But, he thought it exciting to have an image or Murka in the front of the car, for originality and for the memories he wants it to carry. This was achieved by the painters he hired, and at the end, the colour and the name Murka made a very good fit. Max Polyakov changed the seats of the car and painted the steering wheel white. This made it unique and made it resemble Murka even more.
While Max loved what he has done the car, he needed to do more, so more funds are needed. To raise this, he went to a casino to gamble. He made some money and spent all of them on the car, taking it to an unrecognizable shape, as he is becoming attached to it as much as he was to Murka.
His neighbour Mahir noticed this and decided to help him. He inquired what the car will need to get running and the meaning of Murka on the front of the car. Max Polyakov explained everything to him.
Mahir liked the whole idea about Murka. So, he joined Max Polyakov in modernizing the car. But Max must change the plate number, and he cannot do this without finding the original owner of the car and compensating them. This search was very difficult for him, but eventually, he found Barbara Odum and explained everything to her. She felt sympathy for the plight of Murka and accepted Max Polyakov’s proposal. The deal was for him to use the car to take his daughter Jane to school on Wednesdays when the car is fully repaired.
Max Polyakov and His Repair Work to Commemorate Murka
The repair of the Chevrolet Impala had a significant impact on Max, and after it, he hated the idea of sitting behind a desk in the office. Because of this, he set out to pick old and abandoned cars, overhaul them and sell them. While spending money on his Murka from time to time, he ran out of funds and went back to gambling to raise some.
However, Max found a BMW 3 series after this. He picked it after negotiations with the owner, and with the help of Mahir, he relocated it, repaired it and sold it at a good price. He shared the profit with Mahir and they later formed the biggest local company that repairs and sells used cars, as inspired by Murka.
