Joining car clubs may sound fancy for some people, and most people assume only expensive car has the car clubs and only the rich people can join the clubs.
This perception is so WRONG!
In Malaysia, there are various car clubs that are very happening and the car clubs could be start from low end vehicles, range from our national car, Perodua Myvi, Alza, Bezza, and subsequently we have Toyota Vios Club Kluang, Toyota Altis Club, Honda City club, Honda Civic club, and more to go…
These car clubs has various form of activities to gather the car enthusiasts and get together for car show, road trips for short holidays and get to know some hot girls (Chiu bu) once while too!
To join these clubs, member MUST have their own vehicle that same model of the club. For example, to join Toyota Vios Club Kluang (TVCK), the member must own the similar car model as the club, which is Toyota Vios.
There is one time fee, which would be cost around ~RM120 (the fee is depending on the car club itself), and members are usually get the car club stickers, some goodie bags and T-shirts.
If you ask me, is the fee is expensive?
I would say it is not cheap, nor expensive either. You will get all these fun and gathering in the community.
Now,
Why these people want to join the car clubs?
Here are the reasons why people want to joining the car clubs:
- Make new friends who share similar interest (exchange car and modification knowledge)
- Get join some cool events and get sponsored (sometimes)
- Members have their own community to sell/buy car parts, maybe lower cost and easier to find the car parts too
- To meet the hot car girls; and date them (maybe…)
- As networking events for some like minded people
- To allow others to appreciate your moded cars (admit it, not everyone love mod cars)
- Some people just don’t have other hobby, and want to do something else…
