How Strava and Fitbit Takes my Running to Next Level?

I am a runner since high school, and constantly joins the marathon events around my area. Don’t get me wrong, I am not the professional runner, and I never win any prize from running. I am just a regular runner who enjoys the running process, keeping myself fit, happy and allow me to explore experience.

I started using Strava app back in 2015 when I join my friends for the FULL MARATHON (42.195km) for the Penang Bridge marathon. I use the Strava to tracking my running activities, my pace, heart rate, the elevation, GAP, distance and the time. That is the time how the Strava takes my running to next level.

Below is the Strava captured map and the running details during my Penang Bridge Full Marathon 2015:

The Strava captured the distance, moving time, and pace of the run. I also able to uploaded few nice photos that I captured during the run too 🙂

Strava allow me to compare my pace/time/heart rate, segment by segment with my peers. Below is the Leaderboards that compared the segment by segment of the full marathon run with my peers. I have the slowest pace among my peers 🙁

Fast forward, I came to Singapore for my career exposure 2016, I am still using Strava to track my running details.

This time I bought the Fitbit Surge to tracking my activities and also Heartrate (HR). The Fitbit able to integrate with Strava and generate the running data for me.

Check out my running details using Fitbit with Strava in the evening run at Marina Bay:

Overall, Strava help runner like me to track the runner details and put us the group to compare and compete for each other. The Strava app able to sync with other apps too, such at Fitbit.
